El Corte Inglés (ECI) is one of the biggest department store groups in Europe and one of the 10 biggest department-store groups worldwide.

ECI required an omnichannel platform that would ensure stability, performance and brand unity. We delivered by refreshing their digital-commerce platform.

ECI’s technology and business teams had been using Oracle Commerce for over 10 years, resulting in a complex mix of installations and versions. The network of sites did not share consistent architecture, user experience, design or development.

Spindrift performed the first Oracle Commerce on Exalogic deployment in Europe for ECI. The deployment involved upgrading 15+ sites to Oracle Commerce, including Endeca Search, as well as deploying our own suite of ecommerce solutions — Momentum and Site Builder®.

We re-architected all integration and data models, and introduced advanced caching. Along with development, we created continuous integration and release workflows, and our creative teams completely re-designed ECI’s customer experience.
